Privacy Policy

QuantTrading.io is an interview preparation platform for quantitative trading roles, operated by QuantTrading.io ("we", "us", "our"). Our website is located at quanttrading.io.

We collect the following personal information when you use our platform:

• Account information: Your email address and password (hashed) when you create an account.
• Payment information: Billing details when you subscribe. Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we do not store your card details on our servers.
• Usage data: Which questions you have attempted, progress data, and game scores. This is stored against your account to power your dashboard.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and approximate location collected automatically when you visit the site (via standard AWS infrastructure logs).

We do not collect any special categories of personal data (health, ethnicity, etc.).

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Process subscription payments and send receipts
• Save your progress and question attempt history
• Send transactional emails (email confirmation, password reset)
• Improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to serve advertising.

We share limited data with the following trusted third parties to operate the platform:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Our infrastructure runs on AWS. User accounts are managed via Amazon Cognito. Data is stored in AWS data centres in Australia.
• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe receives your billing details when you subscribe. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Your data is stored in AWS infrastructure in Australia. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed and managed by Amazon Cognito.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or tax purposes (e.g. billing records, which we keep for 7 years as required by Australian tax law).

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Ask us to delete your account and associated data.
• Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to our processing of your data in certain circumstances.

We are committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use localStorage in your browser to store your authentication token so you remain logged in between sessions. This token is not shared with third parties.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
